What's this all about?

moleracing - since 1998!

The origins of the team hark back to the late 90's in a Robin Hood - westfield/caterham style car that cost £950. 

After building this  over a couple of years my first event was Scammonden Dam Hillclimb, and havent looked back! 3 seasons developing the road car were then followed by purchasing a single seater formula ford, to fit the 200bhp Zetec engine from the kit car.

I have then developed this same chassis, an RF96 Van Diemen culminating 2016 in winning the 2 litre national Sprint title and 5th overall in the British Championship.

Lots or engine development, now with a 307bhp SBD Duratec for 2017, a JL Hewland sequential box, fly by wire throttle, 425kgs, launch, traction and yaw control, air actuated paddle shift - 17ms full throttle upchanges and clutchless downchange also, all available from SBD.

The last two years have had significant developments in the aerodynamic package on the car though a connection, Naser Teymourian currently at Oxford Brookes university doing his masters postgrad in race car aero.

Sprinting is 2 laps of the track against the clock. F1 engined cars take the top spots, but its nice to mix it when I can - and I love the wet!
